Bentley Motors has never been one to shy away from supporting emerging talent. This is evident in their latest collaboration with the award-winning London-based fashion designer Supriya Lele.
Known for her sensuous blend of femininity and exploration of her British and Indian heritage, Supriya has taken on a unique challenge. She has used leather off-cuts from the Crewe-based iconic Bentley Motors Factory to create three concept garments – a jacket, corset and a belt. These creations were exclusively revealed at her London Fashion Week show, which also saw her return to the catwalk for the Spring/Summer 2024 season.

Supriya Lele's creativity was sparked by a transformative visit to the Bentley factory in Crewe. The brand's meticulous attention to detail, refined luxury, and contemporary essence left a lasting impression on her.

“It was an exciting proposition to work with Bentley – an incredible heritage car manufacturer that needs no introduction with a level of craftsmanship and detail that is second to none. A visit to the Crewe headquarters introduced me to the unique and fascinating methods of Bentley’s manufacture – the level of perfection and expertise reminded me of an elevated couture atelier.” – Supriya Lele

It is a collaboration that was born from common ideologies of craft, excellence, heritage, and the Bentley ethos. The quiet luxury that Bentley exudes stands in parallel with the philosophy that Supriya Lele brings to her fashion lines. The challenge presented here was not just to create garments that were stunning in their appearance, but garments that were crafted from materials that would have otherwise gone to waste. The vision embodied by Bentley and Lele in this collaboration is one of sustainability, craftsmanship and innovation.
