Step into the world of MINI as the design studio and rising collage artist Constantin Prozorov collaborate to craft captivating image worlds that bring the new MINI model family to life. We at ellectric got an exclusive sneak peek at the exciting collaborations and their impressive results prior to the start of the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, where it is going to be officially unveiled. Furthermore, we had the opportunity to join a panel discussion with Head of MINI Design Oliver Heilmer, and talented artist Constantin Prozorov where they talked in detail about the process and the collages.

Drawing inspiration and creative momentum from the vibrant art and fashion scene, the MINI design team embarks on an exciting collaboration. Constantin Prozorov artfully combines MINI’s new models with mesmerising background motifs, using digital technology to create captivating and distinctive artwork. His fantastical figures and floral elements complement and enhance the artistic composition, making each presentation truly captivating.

Through over a year of collaboration between the artist and the MINI design studio, three captivating urban dream worlds have been brought to life. These extraordinary realms effortlessly blend surreal elements with the portrayal of the new MINI models, all set within meticulously crafted surroundings. Each collage comprises up to 200 layers which can can be enjoyed as both still image worlds and animated clips.

Constantin Prozorov has created a triptych of collages, featuring the all-electric MINI Cooper, the all-electric MINI Countryman, and the all-electric MINI Aceman. Each collage contains charming details that can be seen upon closer inspection, such as MINI’s digital character Spike as an art toy for the MINI Cooper or stylised playing cards for the MINI Aceman. Constantin was particularly taken by the interior surfaces made from recycled knitwear which appear in his collages as abstracted, oversized elements. His approach encourages observer to think beyond traditional boundaries and engage in opportunities offered by art and design.
