Vostok's electric scooter – born out of necessity

The Spanish brand Vostok focused on electric mobility, was born out of necessity. Founders Rachel Lesslar and Alvaro Escribano didn’t find any electric scooter that fulfilled their needs and demand for quality and performance. So in 2015 they started their own company and brought the electric scooter E7 to life.

“There was a huge disparity between the technology available in the market and the technology that was being implemented in electric mopeds themselves at that time in the European market. We decided to start looking into it ourselves, to meet our own needs.” Rachel Lesslar, Co-founder.

The founders’ intention was not only to contribute to the existing barrier of poor mobility solutions that was impeding the transition from gasoline to electric scooters but also to the growing global environmental challenges.

We tested Vostok’s first product, the E7. The scooter combines a retro yet simple look – round lights with a minimal body. The E7 is equipped with a 1500W motor. So it is powerful enough to take you and a friend around the city. The scooter fits two 60V 26Ah batteries, which allows to drive up to 130 kilometers. When you reached that distance, you can easily take out the batteries and charge them fully within only 3.5 hours.

What set the Vostok E7 apart from other scooters, is the changing of the colours. The four piece coloured body parts can be easily removed in order to change the colour and thus the design of your Vostok scooter.
The lesson is clear: the E7 from Vostok is the perfect mobility solution for a city as Berlin. Even if you have longer travel distances, you do not need to worry as the electric scooter has a range of up to 130 kilometers. The E7 is very easy to use, easy to drive, quiet and above all no exhaust gases are produced.
