Minimalist design meets sustainable driving – the premium electric scooter by NAON
Just the way we like it. Berlin-based company NAON launched their first driving prototype of its premium electric scooter, which comes in a beautiful, minimalist design. But not only the authenticity of the design is of high importance for the brand, so is sustainability and the impact on our environment.
Founded in 2019 by a group of five friends coming from major OEM backgrounds, the brand has specialised in two wheeled electric mobility, marking a new shift towards low impact personal mobility.
NAON combines innovative technology with high quality materials and a local manufacturing made in Germany. The main components of the premium scooter are constructed from aluminium and recycled PET plastic. Where possible, the brand makes use of recycled materials or materials that can be recycled afterwards. Besides the components are limited to the essentials, which means by simplifying the product, more focus can be placed on refining every detail. Care is also taken in the production process to ensure that minimal waste is produced, e.g. smaller components are made from offcuts of the larger components. For the manufacturing process, the company employs local manufacturers with fair working conditions and wages. And hence they are able to better monitor and control the quality of their product as well as to reduce the footprint of their logistics.

NAON offers two variations of its electric scooter: a 45km/h L1e license version starting at a price from 4.920 € and a 100 km/h L3e license version from 6.420 €. The top spec scooter has a range of 140 km with a 7 kW motor and two removable batteries with a total capacity of 4.8 kWh. Pre-orders will be available towards the end of 2021. We can’t wait to test-drive the scooter ourselves.
